Trailer Watch: The Danish Girl
After his hilarious performance in Jupiter Ascending, Eddie Redmayne seems to be back on track with what looks like another Oscar-nominated performance in The Danish Girl. Alicia Vikander, whose career has exploded on-screen in the past year plays Redmayne's wife who has to deal with the unique position she is thrust in. Another exciting acting presence is Matthias Schoenaerts, who came to my attention after his performance in the best film of 2012, Rust And Bone.
Tom Hooper (King's Speech), an able director will hopefully create a film devoid of the annoyances of Les Miserables: constant extreme close-ups and ridiculous runtimes. Despite Tom Hooper's directorial and stylistic missteps, at least it's not Roland Emmerich directing a film about LGBT riots, am I right?
